Vintage Rose Picture 12.5”x 16.5”. Authentic 1920s Lithograph

Incredible framed piece of vintage art- an all-time favorite. I love it when “flaws” add character to a piece! This is a lithograph botanical print of a red rose by Pierre-Joseph Redouté. Redouté was a painter and botanist known for his detailed illustrations of flowers, particularly roses. He was nicknamed "the Raphael of flowers" and has been called the greatest botanical illustrator of all time. Age is based on print information type/font and placement of that information on the lithograph. See pics for measurements and flaws. - especially water mark. Price reflects flaws (even though that's what gives it character) Smoke free home.
