In 1801, Paul Revere founded the Revere Copper Company in Canton, Massachusetts. The company initially focused on producing copper products, such as copper sheets for the U.S. government and household items.
In 1939, the Revere Copper and Brass Corporation introduced Revere Ware cookware, leveraging the company's expertise in copper to create innovative kitchen products. The cookware featured stainless steel bodies with copper bottoms for even heat distribution, a design that became iconic and highly popular.
Revere Ware introduced stainless steel cookware without copper bottoms in the early 1960s. During this period, the company began to implement cost-cutting measures, which included reducing the thickness of the copper cladding and eventually producing cookware with stainless steel alone.
In the 1990s, Revere Ware began manufacturing some of its products overseas to reduce costs.
