Vintage Retro Mid Centrury Bakelite S&P Shakers Salt Pepper

Adorable little Bakelite S&P Salt 'n Pepper Shakers that fit together perfectly and in contrasting colours of Butterscotch and Brick Red. Although patented in 1909, bakelite, known as the "first synthetic plastic" became popular in the 20's for Jewelry and MidCentury 50's for everyday items such as these retro shakers. These sweet little things measure 1-5/8" tall from table to top; 1" square when fit together as they are designed to do at rest. Nice vintage condition with patina consistent of pre-owned pieces of their nature and time.
