Vintage Red Rhinestone Brooch

Vibrant red resin faceted stone in an oval shaped resin base with open work filigree border. I have modified and redesigned this in a couple of details; I added rose gold foil nuggeting & a Swarovski Crystal at the bottom of the frame to help with the upright direction, so that when being attached on clothing, it's obvious where are the top is - and where the bottom is. I didn't care for the color of this frame. As you can tell by looking at the back side, it had kind of a sandy orange shade that I just didn't think was vibing for me. I gave it a slight bit more of an aged bronzed look. I wanted it to look more like something that came out of a treasure box. From 1987, when rhinestones on jackets were the big fashion trend.
