Vintage RARE Condon's 100% Pure Wool Blankets, Prince Edward Island to Newfoundland is 100% Pure Wool Blanket made by William Condon & Sons Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada, circa 1950s. WIlliam Condon & Sons blankets are highly sought by collectors. This blanket is of thick and heavy soft wool, natural cream in colour with horizontal aqua, blue & pink colored stripes at both top and bottom as well as edge stitching in aqua in colour. Canadians in Atlantic Canada would buy local sheep's wool when they were shorn in the spring, wash it, pick it and mail via Canada Post to Wm. Condon and Sons, PEI, to have blankets made. Prince Edward Island has a rich and renown heritage in textile manufacturing, particularly wool blankets. This blanket is very soft in beautiful overall condition.
