Preowned and framed print under glass with the amusing phrase, “Tennis is one of the few pastimes where love means nothing”.
This print was printed on what looks like card-stock. (I did not want to remove backing as it was professionally framed.) The original artwork was drawn by by James Montgomery Flagg. He was an amazing artist, illustrator and cartoonist. (You can verify this print on the internet, by artist name and “tennis print”.)
This is a reprint of some sort with his artwork on top with this amusing phrase added. Print was custom framed by original owner. Great gift for a tennis enthusiast who has everything. The frame looks old fashioned, like ones my parents had from the 1960’s. However I have zero idea when this was framed as it was custom framed so there is no way to really date it. Picture and frame in good condition except for a crack on the right side of red frame as shown in picture. This does not need to be reframed. Can be hung as is. Really cute! LOL!
