Vintage Porcelain Asian 3-footed Foo Dog Lidded Censer (Incense Burner)

This is a unique collectible Asian-produced censer. Measures 3.5” from handle to handle. Including the protective foo dog on top, it is about 3.75” tall. It has a detachable lid with little holes along the top to allow the incense smoke to billow out. Lots of little intricate details. A censer is a container within which incense is burned, usually during religious ceremonies. This little gem appears to have never been used. The little foo dog or lion dog are mythical creatures that represent protection and good fortune in Asian culture.
