Vintage Polish Sterling Silver & Black Enamel Abstract Crucifix Pendant Necklace

This is an extraordinary abstract crucifix pendant made in Warsaw, Poland in the 1980’s. Gorgeous, modernist aesthetic; simple yet elegant design; truly a work of art. This vintage beauty is solid sterling silver with a black enamel circle accent, and comes on a 17.75” rope chain necklace. Very rare, fully hallmarked, quality piece. Details: ***Measurements (approximate): Pendant is 2.15” long x 1” wide. Chain is 17.75” long x 1 mm wide. ***Markings: Pendant signed “ACH” inside oval lozenge on bail, and hallmarked “W, .925” to left of woman’s head in profile facing right inside rectangular lozenge on very bottom, right side on reverse. Chain hallmarked “925” (see note on metal content below). ***Metal content: Pendant verified as solid 925 sterling silver via acid test. Chain is slightly magnetic silver alloy. ***Weight: 7.3 grams total weight ***Condition: Good pre-owned vintage condition (c. 1986). Shows signs of wear commensurate with age, including: tarnish, patina, surface scratches, dings, scant verdegris, and general wear. Enamel has minor surface wear.
