Old Colony, Lace Edge, Open Lace – Pink Depression Glass Divided Relish Plate
This lovely depression glass pattern was manufactured by Hocking Glass Company of Ohio during the 1930s. It is one of those patterns you recognize immediately, with the most delicate lacey edge on all its pieces. This is a pink 3-part relish plate with glass ridges across the plate dividing out 3 sections. The bottom of the plate has ribbed glass looking almost like a sun or starburst pattern. There is a scalloped lace edge extending out almost an inch all around the rim. This plate measures 10 ¼” diameter and sits 1” tall. It is in ver good condition, rare for this pattern due to the delicacy of the open lace edge. The only Nick I noticed is pointed out in the pictures. It’s on the back of the plate in the grooves. Can’t tell if it’s part of a manufacturing error or if it’s an actual chip, but it is shown in the pictures. Just an overall lovely example of fine depression-era glass!
Definitely make an excellent addition to your pink glass collection.
