Vintage Pewabic Tile Rose Design

Vintage (2005) Pewabic ceramic wall tile Rose design. Approx. measurements: 2 3/4" x 2 3/4" x 1/2" deep. Semi-glossy glaze in hues of green. Stamped "Pewabic Detroit" on back and dated 2005. Hanging keyhole slot on verso. EVIDENCE OF REPAIR. Tile has been broken and glued together. Please see photos. Smoke free home. Unable to bundle. Handcrafted in Detroit, MI. Individually hand pressed and glazed by Pewabic artisans. Slight variations in glaze and firing ensure that each piece is one of a kind. The line-drawn Rose Tile is from a series designed for the Sarah Caulkins Johnson House in Detroit's Indian Village Historic District, not far from Pewabic Pottery. This design later appeared as an element in many of Pewabic's private installations. Pewabic Pottery is know for its iridescent glazes. This is a wonderful piece of art with a rich history.
