Vintage Pendleton Turnabout Box Pleat Reversible Wool Plaid Skirt. Pendleton’s Turnabout debuted in 1953, and along with the poodle skirt, it was THE skirt craze of the 1950s. Due to the quality construct, this skirt can be worn both ways. This required tremendous teamwork between designers and engineers at Pendleton. Even the closure and label required a special design. The Turnabout was more than a work of fashion. It was a work of engineering so precise that Pendleton patented it. Red, black, white, grey, orange. 100% virgin wool.
