This is a beautiful and rare bohemian revival piece from Pat Sandler dating to the mid-1960s. Made of a rich wine / burgundy color velvet with embroidered folk-inspired trim at the neckline, waist, cuffs and hem. This is a substantial, well made dress from top quality materials. A classic example of Sandler's work - elegant, yet drawing on global influences - in this case - Eastern and Middle Eastern European. This piece feels both true bohemian from the era and sophisticated. Sandler was known for using luxurious fabrics and adding decorative touches.
