Vintage Paine's Duplicate Whist Trays 20 Tray Set for Duplicate Auction Bridge and Whist by The Duplicate Whist Co, Kalamazoo, Michigan. Condition: Fair to good, shows moderate to heavy wear consistent with age. The outer box has surface wear, scuffs, and significant corner and edge wear, including chipping and loss in multiple areas as shown in photos. The original front box label is partly worn away and stained. Inner trays in fair to good condition with some signs of use, minor corner scuffs, and numbers printed in gold. Some trays may include old playing cards for display (not guaranteed to be original or complete). Features original wooden or composite case with black textured finish and splatter pattern on two sides. Lid fits securely. Interior of box features The Duplicate Whist Company patents dated 1893-1910. Each tray is numbered and marked "DEALER" with gold arrow, holding four sets of cards per tray (cards included in some trays for display).
