Vintage Otagiri Japan Hand Painted Brown & Blue Floral Pedestal Stoneware Cup / Mug Vintage Otagiri pedestal base, grayish beige stoneware pottery coffee cup / mug with the signature Otagiri speckled background design throughout. Each side features a different hand painted floral design in cobalt blue and brown, with a luminous glaze. The rim and rectangular shaped handle are beautifully glazed in hues of brown. Measures 4.5” tall with a 2.75” diameter; 5” across including handle. Holds 9 fluid oz. Circa 1970s. Only after close examination did I spot a tiny, flea sized nick in the glaze on the base of the cup. See close-up photos.
