Vintage Oscar de la Renta velvet gown with sheer sleeves. I believe this is from the 1980s-early 1990s. Made for Montaldo's. Union made by the International Ladies Garment Workers Union (ILGWU). It's in beautiful vintage condition. The satin-stitch tacking on the back hem has come loose (an easy fix), but there is no apparent wear to to the fabric. The back of the gown features an unusual offset hidden zipper with a large keyhole style on the upper back in sheer chiffon. One side of the keyhole has a small loop that may attach somewhere on the back, but i'm not sure where (perhaps a small hook has since been removed). A strapless bra was sewn on the inside but has since been removed. Size 8 on the tag, fits like a size 4.
