Vintage "Original by Robert" Midcentury Signed Apple Brooch

"Original by Robert" vintage jewelry originally dates to 1942 in NYC. “Robert” refers to Robert Levy, one of the original founders of The Fashioncraft Jewelry Co. In 1960, the name was changed to Robert Originals. Due to excellent design, workmanship & materials, these pieces sold at high price and were even used in some Hollywood films &TV shows. Operations ceased in 1979. This is his classic apple brooch. Some had worms & some did not. If this one did, it is now missing (boo), but this is still a lovely piece of mid-century history and a quality, whimsical piece in its own right. Enamel over gold tone with rolling C clasp. Signed on the back of one of the leaves.
