What a cool ring! Although the "stone" appears to be an opal, it is actually foiled or dichroic glass that reflects a full palette of colors depending on how the light hits it. This glass is bezel-set in a graceful split shank sterling silver setting.

I know it says sterling silver but in some pics it almost looks gold in color, is the band silver in color? Thank you

Hi. Great question -- I can see that it looks gold in the picture. Unfortunately my camera tends to impart a yellow tint on everything. I just pulled it out of inventory and it is definitely silver. There is a bit of tarnish and I think the reflection of that is giving it the golden glow
