Vintage Needlepoint Geisha Girl under Cherry Blossom tree--Finished

This beautiful needlepoint is 21 x 8 1/2 inches The black border, which frames the piece, is actually needlepoint stitching and not a frame as it appears at first blush . The canvas is mounted on a board that looks like a type of particle board. The stitching is beautiful and this preowned piece is in excellent condition. The colors are still vibrant. There is even a bit of silver metallic thread in her hair . Although I am not sure of the original make of the canvas, it is penelope canvas so it is strong. This piece is striking.
