Vintage Navajo Southwestern Concho Sterling Silver Brooch

This gorgeous artisan concho brooch in sterling silver showcases Native American / Navajo craftsmanship in its signature sunburst design. While the pin's complete provenance is unknown, it came from the estate of my wealthy great aunt, who left behind a treasure trove of authentic, high-value fine jewelry that she collected on her world travels. She died in the mid-1970s, so I believe this brooch was made and purchased no later than the 1960s. The brooch is about 1 5/8" wide and 1 1/2" high, and weighs 15g. NOTE: The pin is not stamped with "925" or "sterling." But, I took it to a reputable jeweler and he tested it a couple different ways and said he felt confident saying it IS genuine sterling silver. He said it likely isn't marked either because it is so old that such markings weren't required, or it was made by a small, individual artisan rather than a large manufacturer.
