1970's Museum of Witchcraft and Magic Gatlinburg TN Travel Pamphlet Brochure
Gatlinburg Tennessee has been home to some very unusual attractions over the years, one was the Museum of Witchcraft and Magic. The museum was owned by Ripley's Believe or Not and opened in 1972, it featured a collection of witchcraft themed displays from the collection of Dr. Gerald Gardener. Apparently the local churches and religious groups pressured Ripley's to rebrand it to the "World of the Unexplained." It closed its doors 1985, and many of the artifacts were relocated to other Ripley's locations across the US.
This is perfect for collectors of postcards, brochures, ephemera and those interested in the occult.
Tri-fold pamphlet very colorful showing different exhibits and demonstration, with an amazing Devil graphic on the front.
Approx 8.25" x 4"
This piece is in amazingly good shape when considering its age, with minimal creases, surface dirt and color loss. There is a small, less than 2 mm tear in the top of one of the folds. See Photos. You get this item as is!
If you’re a fan of magic, witchcraft and travel destinations long passed, you’ll definitely want to add this to your collection!
