Vintage Mid-Century Oil Painting

I have a lovely mid-century oil on board painting of a woman walking down a cobblestone street in excellent vintage condition. Purchased years ago at an antiques shop in southern Arizona. I believe it’s a scene in Europe but could very well be in South America as well. Gilt wood frame has a few chips I’ve tried highlighting in photos. Signed in the lower right corner, but I can’t make out the artist’s name (haven’t wanted to remove the frame). Approximate Measurements- H- 20” L- 16” D- 1.5”
