Vintage Mid Century Mele Wood & Damask/Carpet Footed Jewelry Box #A-3

This is a vintage Mele wood & Damask/carpet upholstery hinged, footed jewelry box. It is gold and off white with a walnut color wood finish. Has brass hardware. The feet are actually feet of an animal with 4 toes. (maybe lion) but Im not sure. I know lions were popular in the mid century decor. It measures 10"X7"X5". It has a removable compartmented jewelry tray. Has original sticker on the bottom that reads: Styled by MELE, Utica New York Japan.
