Vintage Mid Century Buenilum Aluminum 10" Covered Serving Dish, USA Made, MCM

This is a lovely vintage aluminum covered serving dish made of Buenilum (*see history below). Brilliant shine. Measures 10" wide x 6 1/2" tall to the top of the handle. CONDITION: Beautiful gently preowned condition. Never used, but lid has a few very small scratches from storage which do not detract. *Buenilum was a brand of hand-hammered aluminum cookware and serving pieces produced by the Buehner-Wanner company, which was founded in 1933 by Frederick Buehner and Franz Wanner. Buehner developed a unique formula for using hammered aluminum and trademarked it as Buenilum. The company produced Buenilum from the 1930s through the 1960s, and was sold to Pfaltzgraff in 1969, who continued making Buenilum until 1979. The Buenilum brand is known for its mid-century modern aesthetic and high-quality workmanship.
