Vintage Mexican Handcrafted, Pit-Fired Olla or Pot

Believed to be Tarahumara/Rarámura. Decorative, handmade rustic vessel created with natural mud clay, using the pinch and coil method and then fired in a pit or open fire. It has a rounded bottom and sides with a flared lip. The vessel reflects centuries of tradition and earthy primitive tones and design. This piece is unique and in good condition with no chips or cracks. c. 20th century. Made in Mexico. 8.5" T x 9" W. 3 lb 8 oz. Says "Made in Mexico for *** Adobe Santa Fe New Mexico" on bottom
