This company existed in the 60’s and 70’s so it’s def vintage. I am thinking more 70’s. Fun vibrant pattern.
Sizing (Size 40): Maverick often used men’s sizing numbers. A size 40 would usually equate to a men’s Medium/Large (about a 40” chest). However, during the 70s, clothing often had unisex appeal, and many women wore men’s sizing for the oversized look.
• Buttons: You noticed the “women’s” button orientation. Vintage brands weren’t always consistent with button placement, especially in the 70s when gender lines in fashion were blurred. It could’ve been marketed as unisex, or they simply used whatever production standard was available.
1970s Maverick disco/boho shirt, made in the USA, polyester, with a bold floral print. It’s likely a men’s size 40 but could have been worn by any gender.
Chest lying flat, armpit to armpit.
22.5 inches armpit to armpit.
28 inches long.
