Vintage Mary Vi BARBADOS Maxi Dress Floral Embroidered Mexico Size 36 Gathered Neck & Cap Sleeves This gorgeous maxi dress is from our 1971 holiday trip to Barbados. We stayed at Sam Lord's Castle. It was just an amazing visit. The dress is truly a work of fine embroidery. Measurements: Length: 48 1/2" Capped Sleeve that is gathered with orange yarn: 9" x 7 1/2" also 7 1/2" of floral embroidery Width at the waist: 22" Width at the hem: 27 1/2" The neckline is gathered with an orange yarn/cord. The piece is embroidered from the neckline to the hemline. The widest embroidery is 7 1/2" across. Please see where some of the colors have bleed slightly. The back of the dress also has minor discoloration. I have attempted to wash or have it dry cleaned. The dress drapes beautifully. The colors are incredibly vibrant when you considered I purchased this in 1971. No holes or tears. The embroidery is so lovely, one could even repurpose it.
