- Clover shaped, 3-part Condiment Dish
- by Maruhon of Japan
- "Tomato" pattern
- Each compartment is a tomato complete with leaves and a "stem" that attaches to the "vine" that makes up the raised center handle
- Based on research, I believe this Is from the 1950s
- Colors: Reddish orange and Green
- Width: 8 1/4"
- Height (not including handle): 1 1/8"
MARKS: on the bottom in black block letters:
- Maruhon Ware
- "K" inside a circle
- Hand Painted
- Japan
- Japanese
- Pat. No. 71952 (It's possible I misread the numbers)
CONDITION: Very good vintage condition with the following caveats:
- There is a spot of glaze miss that occurred during manufacturing (see second to last picture)
- There is an area on one of the leaves where there are two flea bites out of the surface. Nothing deep, more like flaked off - see last picture
- Upon close inspection there is some wear in the center of each compartment; a little dullness to the shine which would be normal use wear for an item this old.
