Gorgeous vintage jacket! Velvet piped metallic print blazer from Marguerite Rubel. 1960’s label. Size 8. Velvet covered buttons. Marguerite Rubel Manufacturing was founded in the late 1940s, and was known for their coats & jackets. Nordstrom’s, Macy’s, Joseph Magnin & I. Magnin carried the label. Her most famous garment may have been the Map Jacket, which featured a wraparound graphic of the world. President Bush wore one en route to a summit meeting in 1991. Member of San Francisco Fashion Industries, which was established in 1920.
