Vintage Majorca Hobe' Pearls clip earrings. 🇪🇸

Vintage Hobe' Pearl earrings purchase in Majorca in 1960. These are clip earrings with spring, screwback adjustable for comfort. They are in like-new condition. The round white pearl is 7mm, the pink is 21mm long, and it has a bit of a swirl. In 1890, pearls were so sought after in Europe that Edward Hugo Heusch, a German engineer, wanted to find a formula and process to reproduce the unique beauty and perfection of natural pearls at a lower cost. He emigrated to France, where he worked on the process. Needing to be close to the sea, he relocated his company to Majorca.
