Vintage MMA Renaissance enameled Niello heart pendant necklace

In great vintage condition. Gold tone chain with a heart shaped pendant. The shapes and decorative motifs on the pendant were developed from a design for an engraved Niello ornament that appears in a Renaissance book in the Metropolitan Museum of Art's collection. Signed MMA. Minor wear to chain and back of pendant. Spring ring clasp. 18”
