Charming vintage lusterware child’s teapot and casserole dish set, made in Japan during the 1940s–1950s. Both pieces are crafted from fine porcelain and showcase the beautiful iridescent finish that lusterware is famous for.
Lusterware is known for its distinctive shimmering glaze that reflects light in soft, rainbow-like hues. This effect is achieved through a special metallic glaze applied over porcelain, creating a beautiful, pearlized finish that was highly popular in mid-century decorative pieces.
This set is in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. The luster is bright and even, with lovely hand-painted details that give it extra charm.
While originally made as children's playware, the teapot and casserole could easily be repurposed today as a creamer and sugar bowl set, or even as small trinket boxes for jewelry or keepsakes.
Approximate Measurements:
• Teapot height (including lid): 3.5 inches
• Casserole dish width (including handles): 4 inches
A sweet and versatile addition to any lusterware collection or vintage decor setting!
Please note: These are authentic vintage items. While they are in excellent condition, please review all photos carefully. Slight variations, minor imperfections, or manufacturing quirks are common in vintage pieces and add to their character.
