Vintage Lisa Larson Gustavsberg Sweden MALIN Boy Bear Scandinavian Design MCM

 "Malin" from the "Larson's Kids" series, created by Swedish ceramic artist Lisa Larson for Gustavsberg Pottery in 1962.  It is a mid-century modern art pottery sculpture of a young boy holding a teddy bear.  The figurine is made of chamotte stoneware with a glazed finish.  "Malin" is about 7 1/4 inches tall.  The bottom of the figurine is stamped with "Malin Gustavsberg" and the artist's signature.  Lisa Larson got the idea for the series from her own children.  She worked as a designer at the Gustavsberg porcelain factory from 1954-1980.
