Vintage Linden West Germany 5 1/2” Mantle Alarm Clock

This here is a wonderful Vintage Linden Clock. I’ve listed this as a mantle clock, but I’m certainly no expert. That’s just where I can imagine this clock living. This is a winding clock and features an alarm function. The wooden case features a brass rimmed rectangular face with a maroon center rectangular featuring an ornate pattern with a center sunburst design. Black Roman numeral position markers and golden hour, minute and second handles complete the display beneath a plastic cover. Linden, Alarm and West Germany are marked on the display. Measuring appr 5 1/2” height, not including brass handle, and appr 4 1/2” by 2 1/4” at base, this clock, which I might date to the early part of the second half of the 20th century, is in good used vintage condition. There is some minor wear from age and handling with some minor surface wear to the wood, including some small areas of surface scratching or chipping to the edges and corners in spots, all as can be seen. Glow in the dark hands and dots. Mechanically, this clock is in working condition and appears to be keeping good time, however, it is a vintage clock so I can make no guarantee as to long term accuracy or consistency. Overall, a very nice vintage clock that would look great displayed just about anywhere.
