y2klosetcore can I ask you a question about these!? I was wondering about the label that is usually on Levi's the leather or paper one on the back? I have a pair without a label too, there not like these exactly but were you able to find out why there is no label??. Because I know there authentic Levi's but I can't find anything about the no label... so maybe you know?

rea_pparel @y2klosetcore I just saw this message! I’m so sorry that this is coming so late, I don’t know how I missed it. Yes, I’d love to help! Some Levi’s, like this style weren’t designed to have a paper label on the back, other styles were simply torn off or fell off with age. There are however many other ways to determine age/style of a vintage pair of Levi’s. Id love to take a look at yours!! I hope it’s not too late! 💕

y2klosetcore @rea_pparel oh hey no worries. I haven't posted them yet but they are Authentic vintage Levi's from the 60's. They have all the identifying markers! I'm super excited about them because there just so old and in excellent condition and look freaking cool. Do you buy vintage Levi's? or know if anyone on Poshmark that does... I have about 4 pairs. ❤️

y2klosetcore So awesome that you have the big E Levi's I may have some I have not been through my parents old Levi's and I know they wore there's in the 60 and 70s. rea_pparel @y2klosetcore yes I hand a couple of 517 I wear, and a few I’d like to list bc they no longer fit. I love the boot cut, straighter leg. They’re definitely sought after right now too being bootcut. But they’re not quite as hard to find. I took a look at yours and they’re great! Have you tried listing on D P o p I bet they’d do great there as well.

rea_pparel @y2klosetcore back when I was in high school we’d hunt for them at flea markets, etc. years later I purchased most randomly here and there or from What goes around comes around NYC. They had, I think the still have the best collection of vintage 501’s- they’re online too. But I’d pay hundreds. Like 200+ for the perfect pair. And of course some I’d need to crop, some I wanted to wear long, distressed, dark wash / light wash.

Im rotating between 7 or 8 pair at the moment, and feeling the wide leg flares ❣️ if your interested I have bins full of 501, 550, 505, 517, and bells. y2klosetcore @rea_pparel I still want to list these Levi's but I just don't know anything about them, I know there the ones Levi had to make and only put an r on the butt pocket red label because it was to show they owned the label itself and not just the name Levi. Do you know what I'm talking about. I'm sure you. do. Anyway these were my Aunts in the 70's so there Old. That's all I know though

rea_pparel @y2klosetcore yes- off the top of my head the plain tab shows that Levi Strauss owns the trademark rights in the red tab itself, not only the levis wording trademark. I’m not sure if the exact date this was initiated, rather it was done mitigating counterfeits, and about 1 in 10 501’s ( or around that) have them. In terms of aging the pair you have, I would still look at rivets, stitching, label, where it was manufactured etc.

After reading your message again it sounds like you may want 27’s (13.5 in waist) I measure and size the jeans according to waist measurements not marked size. And I should say that most 13 /13.5 inch waists are mine and obviously harder to find the smaller they are… so just let me know and I’ll take a look.
