Vintage Les Bernard Rhinestone and Enamel Fish Brooch

This enchanting vintage fish brooch from Les Bernard is beautifully enameled in shades of green, blue and red with individual scales showing through the enamel. Sinuous gold metal lines divide his body into sections and add to the wavy impression that this fish is swimming through the water. His face is heavily paved with bright shining rhinestones. His big puffy gold lips and bright green glass eye all add to the whimsical feel of this delightful denizen of the deep. Shown in Costume Jewelry 101 by Julia C. Carroll on page 120.
