Lausitzer Glaswerke began in 1889 near the Germany-Poland border. Leading up to the First World War, Lausitzer was Germany’s largest stemware producer and continued through decades of communism and eventual German reunification in 1991. They were then taken over by rival glassmaker Stolzle Oberglas in 1996.
This regal hock wine is cranberry glass hand cut to clear in a grape and vine pattern. It measures 8 inches tall by 3.5 inches at its widest point. The glass is in excellent condition (see photos).
