Vintage Kollmar & Jourdan 935 Silver Textured Flower Brooch Pin

This German made brooch is absolutely gorgeous, and in beautiful condition for it's age. Very classy statement piece that speaks for itself....But, I can't help but share some history about this Rare beauty (That's part of the fun 😊 right?) Part of what makes this piece so rare is the fact that it was made with solid 935 Silver, which contains a higher level of pure silver than Sterling. 93.5% (Now known as Argentium Silver)- While "KJ" was most well known for producing Gold/Silver Plated fashion pieces...providing a more affordable luxury to people worldwide. It's difficult to date this piece because Kollmar & Jourdan (1885-1977) used the same makers mark beginning in early 1900's till closure. My best guess is this piece ages towards the end of Art deco era 1930's pre WWII, when "natural form" style designs became more desired again. Kollmar & Jourdan, being the largest jewelry maker in Germany; was so Iconic, the city of Pforzheim acquired the main building used by the company (which had been badly damaged during WWII and rebuilt). The house has been preserved to this day as the Kollmar & Jourdan House; even after the company desolved (finalized in 1980) due to what was a very unfair bankruptcy based on today's laws. *Please see photos/video for best condition/description, and Measurements.
