Vintage Kentucky Maid Professional Hot Comb Metal Straightening Iron Comb. It measures approximately 8 3/4" long. On the side of the handle says: Kentucky Maid Professional. Research shows this is approximately Circa 40s-50s. The top or the teeth are made of brass and the bottom is wood. Back in the day these Metal Combs were heated on or inside a stove and then combed through curly hair. Unique item for a dressing table or Collector! Whether you're a collector or simply curious about vintage beauty tools, the Kentucky Maid hot comb is a testament to the evolution of hairstyling practices. Condition is preowned with no missing teeth. All teeth are nice & straight except at very top and it is slightly bent down a little (see photo). Wooden handle is mounted securely on the comb. This comb has not had a deep clean or been polished, preserving its original character & patina.
