Vintage 1970 Jim Beam Whiskey Decanter. This decanter was among many uniquely designed and created by James B. Beam himself. This one in particular is an ode to American Veterans, from WWII, Vietnam War and Korean War. Round in shape. A work of art.
Front: Has wheat stalks at the top which are often referred to a "the staff of life", wheat is a long-standing symbol of fertility, bounty and resurrection. A large bald eagle is at the center of one side in a rich metallic yellow gold with "AMVETS" underneath it and "American Veterans" above it. Also bow it reads "Korea, Vietnam" and "WORLD WAR" along with "1970s 25th Anniversary".
Back: The back is a sky blue glazeand sculpture of the different elements of war, a navy ship, a soldier, an airplane, jeep, canon, tank, cargo with balloon being dropped. The main color glazes are a soft sage green, sky blue, red orange and metallic yellow gold.
Stopper is a heavy solid metal bald eagle in gold tone. Still in excellent condition.

Manufactured by: Regal China Corporation, Antioch IL - no longer in operation.

Wear or imperfections to note:
• plastic around the stopper got stuck and became brittle. Part of it is stuck but bottom has completely chipped off. Doesn't affect the overall aesthetic and the stopper does fit completely and stays in place but loosely.
