Vintage Jasper Cabochon & Sterling Silver Ring - Size 6 - Stamped Sterling Circle M - Louis J. Meyer. Shades of Green, Yellow and Orange Cabochon Bezel Set in Sterling Silver. Stamped Sterling & Circle M Trademark - Excellent Vintage Condition Circa 45.5 tcw or 9.1 grams tw - Oval Semi Precious Gemstone Bezel Set Cabochon is circa 23mm L x 16mm W x 5mm H - Thick Silver Ring Shank circa 9mm at widest tapered to circa 5mm at narrowest point. The Shank is made with Silver Sheet Embellished with 2 Thicknesses of Silver Wire. Very Fine Metal Work. Exact Age of Ring Unknown but possibly Pre WWII. The Circle M Makers Trademark could possibly be Louis J Meyer, Inc but I don't know for sure. The Hallmark is also called a Circle Frame "M". There is no other Jewelers Mark like this. I found him in the 1940 Census which showed that he was a jeweler. He was a Gold & Silversmith in Downtown Philadelphia, PA during the late 1800s and 1900s. Meyer was born in 1871. His Company Louis J. Meyer, Inc(Established in 1934 - See Photo #10) & Estate is now Lang Jewelers.
