Vintage Japanese Cast Iron Ashtray...UNIQUE and RARE

This very unique piece was found on the island Maui, Hawaii. I dug it up where an old plantation village used to exist in the Lahaina area. I actually stepped on it first. This 2 piece ashtray has a wonderful floral design on the circular side. On the bottom is the word Japan. It's about 4.5" long and 3.5" tall. I researched and googled this item with no matching or similar results. The old village existed from the late 1800's and demolished in the 1990's. It's a rare find and collectible.
