Vintage Japanese Satsuma Style Ceramic Egg Oriental Hand Painted Floral Bouquet

A vintage Japanese Satsuma style ceramic egg. Oriental hand painted floral bouquets and gold guilt egg on rosewood stand. Asian art. A touch of spring for any decor. This large ceramic ages egg is painted in stunning florals that feature chrysanthemums, cherry blossoms, peonies and sweet butterflies in sage of lavender pinks yellow soft greens and teal. The large floral design is framed in a deep brick red color that is beautifully accented in bright gold guilt. The two large florals front and back are separated by 4 small berry and teal leaf patterns, all of which are surrounded by white porcelain paste dots and gold guilt. The egg is painted in the Satsuma style and quite simply is a work of Art. The egg on the stand measures 5.5 inches tall. The ceramic egg alone is 4.5 inches tall. 3.25 inches wide with a base diameter of 1.75 inches. The stand is Lacquered rosewood and has overall diameter of 3 " by 1" tall. Both pieces are in wonderful condition. Non smoking pet free home.
