Vintage Jamestown China Christmas Chokin star-shaped trinket box. 1987

This is a vintage Jamestown China Christmas Chokin star-shaped trinket box.  The box features an etched and enameled top with a design of two festive bells, holly, and ribbons.  It is made of porcelain and features 24K gold trim around the edges. It is approximately 1.25" inside deep 2" outside without the lid Approx 4''across outside It is is excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks. The inside is clean. When touched the gold leaves finger prints so it will need regular wipe downs. What a great find from years gone by. These items were manufactured in Japan, dating to 1987.  The Chokin art technique involves engraving designs onto metal and gilding them with gold and silver.  The bottom says: Christmas Chokin Jamestown China Made in Japan for Action Industries.
