Vintage Jalga Penny Bracelet Watches 2 1989 & 1991 Not working.

Vintage gold bracelet watch featuring coin pennies. One bracelet has 1989 Pennies and the other is 1991. They have been shortened to fit my small wrist. I bought these myself in New York City in the early 1990s Neither works even with new battery. I have not had them checked by a jeweler so I’m not sure what the problem is. They can be worn just as a bracelet.marked Japan works
