Vintage J. & J. Cash Wood Box - Canadian Goose Silk Weave Inlay 4 3/4"

This is a beautiful, collectible vintage hinged wooden box produced by J. & J. Cash Ltd. of Coventry, England. The company is famous as "Makers of fine woven pictures & bookmarks.". The box, measuring approximately L 4 3/4in. x W 4 3/4in. x H 2in, was specially handcrafted by artisans from the Tatra Mountains in Poland. The wood features a decorative scalloped border. The lid is inlaid with a highly detailed, silk-woven picture of a Canadian Goose in a marsh setting. The label confirms the woven picture was chemically treated to resist dust and dirt. The box is in the excellent condition and is a perfect piece of mid-century folk art or a unique trinket/jewelry storage item.
