The coat in the image is a vintage Dumas California women's royal blue wool coat, likely from the 1960s. While Hutzler's was a historic Baltimore-based department store, the coat itself is a product of the "Dumas California" brand.
Hutzler's was a Maryland institution that operated from 1858 until its closure in 1990. The department store was known for its innovative retail practices and "one-price policy," and often sold high-quality apparel from various brands, which is likely how a Dumas California coat could have been associated with a "Hutzler's Baltimore" label (often found on a second, store-specific tag).
Amazing Vintage women's coat from Hutzler's, labeled "Carrollton Shops," is a vibrant blue with a textured weave. It features a wide collar, four purple floral-embossed buttons down the front, and two front flap pockets. The coat has a matching blue lining and a twisted fabric belt at the back. Visible imperfections include a loose button, a small snag on the fabric. It has replacement buttons on it that are a bit loose. The pocket flaps have tiny pin holes that are from the original buttons. The buttons on it are a vintage celluloid material. Satin lining has an insulated layer under it. The satin is a thick luxurious satin, it feels amazing. A "Made in USA" ILGWU union tag and "DRY CLEAN ONLY" care tag are present. Please see pictures for details measurements and lovely vintage condition. I am accepting reasonable offers.
