Holmegaard is a renowned Danish glassware brand / manufacturer, known for its timeless designs and high-quality craftsmanship. Holmegaard stylish glassware is well known for it's vases, wine glasses, and tableware. It has a rich history of craftsmanship and innovative design, producing both mouth-blown and machine-blown glass. The company was founded in 1823 after Count Christian Conrad Sophus Danneskiold-Samsøe petitioned the Danish king for permission to build a glass factory at Holmegaard Mose. In 1825 when Countess Henriette Danneskiold-Samsøe received permission to establish a glassworks, following her husband's petition. Per Lütken, the renowned Danish glassmaker, worked at Holmegaard from 1942 to 1998 and created many iconic designs, including the Provence Bowl and the Selandia Dish.
