Vintage History of Santa Odin from Duncan Royale Norse Mythology Collectible

One of the several collectible History of Santa figurines in my Closet, Odin is an interesting version of Nordic Santa. Odin was a powerful Norse god who traveled through the air on a 8 legged steed, often using a carriage. Odin was known to wear disguises such as one of an old man. When Christianity took hold in Europe, the old myths were absorbed by the new faith and updated versions developed around the Yule period in winter. Fascinating!
