Vintage Hardy Amies Women's Dress 8 Silk RARE Carnaby London COLLECTORS fragile

I am selling off my large collection of vintage and designer clothing piece by piece because times are tough and storage space is limited! This is a rare collector's item, a Hardy Amies late 1960s/early 1970s swinging London Carnaby Street original. If it were in mint condition it would be worth $1500 or more IMHO. I paid $299 for it 15 years ago. It should be in a museum. Given the fragility of the silk, a 2 inch tear on the cuff, threads in the hem coming loose, it's not recommended for wear except for a very special occasion. It's a playful silk "Dolly" dress with white background and navy and red polka-dots, of the kind worn by Twiggy, accompanied by wide-eyed, lashy, 60s "Dolly" makeup. Original 60s/70s era Hardy Amies Boutique 14 Savile Row London W.I. label (checked against VintageFashionGuild.org label resource.) There is no fabric label, but it feels like silk. Body is fully lined. Fastens with a long zipper with 1 hook & eye at the top. Dry clean only. Made in United Kingdom. I bought this for $299 over 20 years ago and have kept it securely stored.
