Guatemalan artisan handwoven fabric, richly hand-embroidered with birds and flowers. Fully embroidered front and back. Slips over the head like a poncho. Each tunic is carefully measured, loomed, and hand-embroidered - a process that can take months due to the intricate craftsmanship. Huipiles are traditionally square or rectangular. When worn, the flat shape naturally drapes over the shoulders, forming short sleeves without extra stitching. This simple design allows a comfortable fit and easy movement.
